ALFI Youth Launching

ALFI launched its youth wing on Sept. 11, 2004 at the Balay Kalinaw, University of the Philippines, Diliman. ALFI-Youth will complement ALFI in promoting the dignity of the family.

ALFI-Youth’s aims are: 1) to fight against the proposed anti-family and anti-life bills in Congress and Senate, especially since the youth are precisely the ones who will be most affected by the passage of any such bills; and 2) more importantly, to educate the youth, whether members of the organization or not, on the moral, economic, social, and religious facts and aspects of current social issues, since education is the key in enabling the youth to champion the fight to protect the family.

The launch was attended by over 100 young women from different schools, universities, foundations, and companies. Among those present were college and graduate students from the University of the Philippines Manila and Diliman, Far Eastern University, and University of the East; high school students from Rosehill and Woodrose; students of Punlaan School; employees from the Meralco Foundation; young professionals, mothers, and other concerned young women. view more pictures
